Mitchell Powell Furnishings also designs, whether you need to compliment wonderful older pieces with a pieces that fits your ergonomic needs, or simply want something one-of-a-kind!  

All our custom products are hand-built with old-time European techniques.  Fabrics and trims are made world-wide.    We have high standards and pay attention to detail.  We prefer to use organic materials, but have designed for those people with allergies that need synthetic fills and coverings. 

Visit our selection of dozens of available custom designed pieces in our Custom Portfolio!   We can modify or duplicate the pieces shown, with your choice of available fabric and trims.  We can also design virtually any piece for our customer, however, we do not duplicate pieces currently in production.

We are also available to design and create wall coverings, draperies, slipcovers, custom pillows, table runners, and unusual room treatments.

Basic Design Standards

Within our custom designed section we offer all the styles photographed as you see them, or they can be modified to suit your needs.  Some of the fabrics shown may or may not be available but we can assist you with a new selection.  Attention is paid to matching fabric patterns, left, and to the placement on the pieces.  The standards that we adhere to in building our designs are as follows:
